Kilimanjaro Machame Route 6 Days

Description for Kilimanjaro Machame Route 6 Days

Machame route 6 days given its reputation for being a difficult ascent, the Machame path is also known as the Whiskey route, in contrast to the gentler Marangu route, which is known as the Coca Cola way.

Unlike the Marangu Route, which has a moderate slope and hut accommodations, climbers on Machame route 6 days walk steeper routes for longer durations while staying in tents.

On the mountain, the Machame Route may be completed in as little as six days (five nights). However, for a better altitude acclimatization plan, it is usually done over seven days (six nights).

The trip starts at Machame Gate, which is situated at the mountain’s southern foot and is surrounded by lush, rich jungle.

The ascent begins on the Shira Plateau before looping completely around the mountain on the southern circuit, providing spectacular views from all sides. The peak is approached from the east, and the descent is via the Mweka path.
