7-Day Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater & Tarangire Safari

Description for 7-Day Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater & Tarangire Safari

This unforgettable Africa safari package will take you to Lake Manyara National Park, which consists of a shallow but enormous soda lake at the foot of the Western Rift Valley’s escarpment and is one of Tanzania’s most spectacular wildlife zones.

The park’s size makes it perfect for a one-day wildlife drive, and its tree-climbing lions are a popular attraction. This safari also includes a visit to the Serengeti National Park, a sprawling 14500-square-kilometer wilderness where each day brings new scenery and adventure.

It will also take you to Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Crater and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which contains one of the highest densities of game in Africa, as well as possibly the densest population of predators and carnivores. A stunning glimpse of African wildlife awaits you inside a self-contained environment teeming with species.

Finally, your safari will take you to Tarangire National Park, which, like the Ngorongoro Crater, has some of Tanzania’s highest wildlife concentrations, but is less crowded and undisturbed, with a raw and untamed beauty.

7-Day Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater & Tarangire Safari

Day by Day Itinerary

You will be met at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha town, where you will be briefed about your upcoming safari by your guide. Your safari guide will provide you with all of the necessary information regarding your safari.

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning to begin your safari in Tarangire National Park. The terrain of this nature reserve is made up of bush savannah, seasonal marshes, and gigantic baobab trees, and the park is undoubtedly one of the greatest spots in East Africa to watch elephants.

They are not only found in thousands, but they also appear to be more acclimated to automobiles, allowing you to get closer to these massive beasts. It is not just the elephants that make this the one-stop answer for both bird and animal lovers, but also a diverse number of creatures such as Masai giraffes, numerous gazelles, antelopes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, baboons, and more than 500 different species of birds.

After the game drive, you’ll depart the park late in the afternoon and drive to the lodge for the night.

  • Distance: 140 km
  • Overnight will be spent at: Marera Valley Lodge
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are all Included

DAY 2: TARANGIRE– SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, we drive to the Serengeti National Park, passing via Karatu’s picturesque highland farms and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We leave the highlands behind and descend into the Serengeti National Park, the heart of untamed Africa, with its vast grasslands stretching as far as the eye can see.

We travel to the Seronera area of the central park, one of the park’s finest wildlife habitats, which includes the Seronera River, which serves as a vital water source for the area and hence draws wildlife that is representative of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and take a wildlife drive in the Serengeti National Park in the afternoon.

You will be transferred to your lodge where you will spend the night after your tour of the park.

DAY 3 & 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Following breakfast, you will spend the entire day in the Serengeti National Park on a game drive, stopping for lunch along the way. Depending on the time of year, you may be able to see hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and Thompson gazelles as part of the great migration.

These herds normally migrate from the Kenyan Masai Mara across the northwest Serengeti to the plains in the south during the brief rainy season in October and November. The herds progressively return to the western and north-western parts of the Serengeti after the wet season in April, May, and June.

This timetable can, of course, fluctuate due to changes in rainfall, resulting in the animals moving at different times and along different routes. Your guide will do everything possible to locate the animals and ensure that you see them from the best vantage point in the national park. Naturally, the migration draws predators, and you might catch a glimpse of a kill in progress.

DAY 5: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO CONSERVATION

You’ll get up early to join an early morning game drive because dawn is an excellent time to see animals. Before setting out on another game drive in the park, you’ll return to the camp for breakfast.

Wildebeests and zebras are frequently seen in the Seronera region, often in close proximity to lions and other predators such as leopards and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch, continue your drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will spend the night.

  • Distance: 145km
  • Overnight at: Rhino Lodge
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are all Included

DAY 6: NGORONGORO CRATER – KARATU

RiRise up and shine! At daybreak, you drive down into the crater after breakfast. Black rhinos, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, lions and leopards can all be found inside the world’s largest caldera, as well as elephants and mountain reedbucks in the woods on the slopes. Buffaloes, spotted hyenas, and some of the area’s more than 500 bird species are also possible sightings.

After a game drive and a picnic lunch, you will depart the crater in the afternoon to go to the Karatu lodge.

  • Distance: 25 km
  • Overnight will be spent at: Marera Valley Lodge
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are all Included

DAY 7: KARATU – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK – MOSHI/AIRPORT

Over 400 bird species, primate-filled woods, and grassy plains can be found in the small Lake Manyara National Park. The alkaline Lake Manyara, which is home to flamingo colonies and other water birds, covers a considerable portion of the park.

Apart from giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, and impalas on the grassy plains, lions lazing in the trees and elephants munching on acacias in the forests are common sights. While boisterous blue monkey armies congregate near the water, extended baboon families congregate near the roadways. In the late afternoon, you will return to Moshi following the game drive.

  • Distance: 175 km
  • Overnight at: Park View hotel
  • Meals: Breakfast & Lunch are all included
